Welcome to the World!
The year of 2025 has already started with a bang, a welcoming of a little Arapawa Island kid named 'Onyx' from the Rare Hare Barn in Kansas. This little goat is another link in our fight to keep this breed alive, and little doelings like her will be able to add genetics to our limited gene pool and provide for their breed as they get older. From being able to breed to increasing milk supply for further dairy study, each new doeling has quite the job ahead of them. For now, th

Updates to the Updates: New Zealand Numbers
Since the other week, there have been some updates to the New Zealand registration numbers. This change has, unfortunately, been a decrease. Updates from New Zealand
For anyone following the NZ Arapawa Goat Association, you'll know they are working on the exciting - but equally nerve-wracking - counts on Arapawa Island goats registered and observed in New Zealand. Following this breed where they come from is extremely important in watching their numbers, and we are thankful to see they have just under 300 active members in their association! Registration numbers currently sit at 359 Arapawa Goats, with 273 of those being does and 86 bucks

Kid Registrations
We are coming to the end of the kidding season for our goats, which also means it's that time of the year to send out a reminder to get them registered! For our Breeders: Remember to register your kids before you sell them. Registrations and transfers are free for members. We do this for a couple reasons! Not only does it allow us to reach out to the new owners for support, but we can also encourage them to join in the AGBA family. Additionally, it allows them to just enjoy t
