A Big Thank You & An Important Update

We are excited, and a little bittersweet, to share that Callene has officially retired from the zoo! With her retirement, our registrar has fully transitioned from the former zoo email to its new home office.

Please note:

Callene’s zoo email is no longer accessible, and messages sent there will likely bounce.

All registry correspondence should be sent to this address going forward. Thank you to everyone who has already made the switch. This is just a friendly reminder for anyone who may have missed it.

We also want to take a moment to celebrate Callene and her incredible legacy. Callene has over 25 years of experience with the Arapawa breed, has served on the AGBA Board since 2013, and has been our dedicated Registrar for the past 8 years. Through her work at SCZ, she helped educate millions of guests, collaborated closely with breeders, and played a vital role in preserving the Arapawa goat and keeping this remarkable breed alive.

Now, Callene gets to enjoy retirement while continuing her passion at home with her own personal Arapawa herd. This is a well-earned next chapter.

 We are deeply grateful for her years of service, dedication, and care, and we wish her all the best in this new season of life. The AGBA registrar office may be moving with her, but her impact will always remain part of this association.
